1. Cut pastry into 7 cm circles with a fluted cutter and press into greased patty pans.
2. Cook bacon and onion in frying pan until bacon is crisp. Drain.
3. Stir bacon mixture into combined pumpkin, cheese, egg, milk and nutmeg.
4. Spoon into pastry cases.
5. Season with salt and plenty of cracked black pepper.
6. Bake at 200’C for 15 minutes, reduce to 180’C for a further 10 minuted or until golden brown.
7. Delicious served hot or cold.
